CompletedBiology + Chemistry Masterclass
Provided passionate biology and chemistry students with a preview of concepts from AP Biology and Honors Chemistry, giving them a head start on rigorous coursework in a welcoming, student-led setting.
Internship Program — Cohort 1
Interns conducted independent research in a field of their choice and developed a lesson plan to showcase their findings. The lesson plan was then presented to younger students as part of an open-house STEM educational event.
Build-a-Bridge Challenge
Students competed to build the strongest bridge using 25 wooden sticks, 1 meter of string, 1 sheet of cardboard, and unlimited tape/glue — all in 50 minutes. The event spanned three days: Day 1 for planning, Day 2 for building, and Day 3 for testing with weights. Winners received gift cards and Unami Middle School merch!
CB STEM Hack-a-Thon
Students collaboratively coded a product under 5 hours to build a solution to a world-wide problem statement. Afterward, these students pitched their solution to a panel of judges. Winners recieved prizes ranging from jumbo candy bars/boxes to gift card baskets and bouqets.
